Wall Street itself is synonymous with a financial sector that generates more than $1 trillion in annual profits. Wall Street is the engine that drives the wealthiest city in the world, where luxury penthouses on the famed Billionaire’s Row sell for more than $50 million.
Beyond Manhattan, New York City is home to 8,804,190 residents and anchors a greater New York – New Jersey – Connecticut Tri State area of twenty million people.
For 2022, this population combined for $2.1 trillion in gross metropolitan product, which would rank as the eighth largest economy in the world, as a sovereign state.
